Maintenance Tips
- Daily cleaning (critical): After shutdown, clean bowl, beater, whip, dough hook, and shaft with warm water + mild detergent. Dry completely to prevent corrosion and dough buildup.
- No hose or pressure washing: Never spray or submerge the machine—protects motor, transmission, and electrical systems.
- Safety first: Always disconnect power before cleaning or servicing any component.
- Belt/gear inspection: Regularly check transmission drive system for wear, vibration, or slipping—this ensures stable multi-speed operation.
- Lubrication schedule: Follow manufacturer intervals for grease points in the gear train to reduce wear under heavy load cycles.
- Speed change practice: Use on-the-fly speed shifting only as designed; avoid forcing changes under extreme dough load to protect torque-sensing drive system.
- Safety guard system check: Ensure swing ring guard and interlocks function properly before each shift—prevents accidental start hazards.
- Motor monitoring: Watch for overheating, unusual noise, or reduced torque during heavy dough batches—early signs of overload or misalignment.
- Load compliance: Do not exceed rated 60-qt capacity; overloading is the fastest way to damage gearbox and motor life.
- Electrical inspection (monthly): Check wiring, switches, and controls for wear or heat damage, especially in high-volume bakeries.
- Professional servicing: Schedule periodic technician maintenance for gearbox, bowl lift system, and PTO hub to maintain long-term performance.
