Stanley Hydraulic Underwater Hammer Drill - HD45310
Stanley Hydraulic Underwater Hammer Drill - HD45310
The Stanley Hydraulic HD45 Hammer Drill is a heavy duty underwater model designed for drilling in concrete, rock and masonry. The feathering on/off valve and adjustable rotation speed allows easy drill bit start-up and precise control. The high torque rotation motor drives standard 736 Skil hex carbide tipped drill bits and is capable of drilling a 2” diameter hole up to 29” deep. Fluted drill bits require no water or air to clear holes. Ideal for drilling holes for setting anchor bolts.

Q&A
Q: What is the Stanley HD45310 Underwater Hammer Drill designed for?
A: It is a heavy-duty hydraulic hammer drill designed for underwater drilling in concrete, rock, masonry, and asphalt, making it ideal for commercial diving and anchor bolt installation.
Q: What is its drilling capacity?
A: It drills holes from 3/4 in. to 2 in. (19–50 mm) in diameter up to 29 in. (73.7 cm) deep and can core drill up to 4 in. (102 mm) in diameter.
Q: What hydraulic flow and pressure does it require?
A: It operates at 7–9 GPM (26–34 LPM) with a working pressure of 1,500–2,000 PSI (105–140 bar). The optimum flow is 8 GPM (30 LPM).
Q: Does it support forward and reverse rotation?
A: Yes. It features adjustable forward and reverse rotation with speeds up to 300 RPM for precise drilling control.
Q: Does it require water or air to clear drilled holes?
A: No. It uses standard 736 Skil fluted carbide drill bits, which do not require water or air to clear holes during underwater drilling.
Q: Are hose whips and couplers included?
A: The drill includes hose whips, while quick-disconnect couplers are sold separately.
Maintenance Tips
- Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after every underwater use.
- Remove salt, silt, and debris from the drill and chuck.
- Inspect hydraulic hoses, fittings, and seals before each operation.
- Check the drill bit, latch, and trigger for wear or damage.
- Verify hydraulic flow and pressure meet the recommended specifications.
- Apply water-displacing lubricant to moving parts after cleaning.
- Tighten loose fasteners and replace worn components promptly.
- Store the drill clean, dry, and protected from impact and corrosion.
