Maintenance Tips
- Check mounting bolts regularly and re-torque after off-road trips to maintain secure fit
- Inspect crossbars & welds for cracks, bending, or stress after heavy loads or rough terrain
- Clean dirt, mud, and debris frequently to prevent corrosion and hardware wear
- Verify load distribution before each trip to avoid overloading one side of the rack
- Check rubber pads, mounts, and gaskets for wear or loosening over time
- Apply anti-corrosion treatment if used in wet, muddy, or coastal environments
- Avoid exceeding manufacturer weight limit to protect roof structure and rack integrity
- Inspect accessory attachments (cargo boxes, straps, mounts) for tightness before driving
- Touch up scratches or coating damage to prevent rust on exposed metal
- Annual full inspection recommended for hardware, alignment, and structural safety
