• Inspect steel frame and fork regularly for chips, scratches, or early signs of rust.
• Touch up exposed metal promptly to prevent long-term corrosion.
• Apply internal frame rust inhibitor periodically, especially after touring in wet or coastal environments.
• Check drivetrain for wear, proper shifting, and maintain consistent chain lubrication on long-distance rides.
• Inspect disc brakes for pad wear, rotor cleanliness, and reliable stopping performance under load.
• Ensure racks, mounts, and all touring hardware are tight and secure before loaded rides.
• Check wheel trueness, spoke tension, and tire condition for stability on long tours.
• Store indoors in a dry environment to protect steel frame durability and finish.
• Perform thorough pre-ride safety checks of brakes, tires, and load security before every trip.
