Aluminium is popular mainly because it is affordable and easy to work with. But due to its brittle and artificial tone as well as the hysteresis effects it causes, it is in no way a suitable material for audio equipment. Cables are often overlooked and considered unimportant, but we cannot stress enough that high-quality audio cables are essential for maintaining high-level resonance control as they are prone to micro-vibrations just as any other audio product. Aluminium reinforces these oscillations. So it was a question of either suppress them afterwards and effectively lower the noise floor in a signal carrier, or simply just not use a material that’s inherently sub-optimal for the task.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3 style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003eReplacing Aluminium\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe went for the latter, meaning that all aluminium connector housings in our cables have been replaced with stainless steel, copper and titanium counterparts, applied respectively for our entry-level (X3 and P3), mid-tiered (A3, C3 and D3) and top-of-the-line (D-TC3, D-TC Supreme and D-TC Gold Signature) series.
