A 2U unit reaches about 88.88 mm, and a 3U stands at 133.35 mm. The primary distinction between 1U/2U and 4U enclosures is how many fiber cores they can support.
Among rack mount enclosures, there are three common installation styles: cover removable, drawer type, and swing-out type. Drawer and swing-out designs offer the most user-friendly experience for daily access, though they cost slightly more. Cover removable enclosures are the most economical option. Cover Removable
The most budget-friendly option. The top panel is lifted off to access the interior, making it straightforward but less convenient for frequent use.

Drawer Type
Slides forward from the rack for hands-on access. Ideal for installations requiring regular maintenance, patching, or cassette swaps.

Swing-Out Type
The panel swings open on a hinge. Offers good accessibility and a clean finish, popular in neat rack environments.

Split Tray Design — Easy to Operate
The drawer-type enclosure uses a split tray system, enabling each module box to be pushed and pulled independently when units are stacked. This is a critical advantage in dense rack environments where accessing one cassette without disturbing others saves significant time.
The mounting area features a separate pull-button lock that prevents accidental slipping during operation. The tray glides out smoothly with a sliding and locking mechanism, so you can work confidently — it stays extended while you patch, re-route, or replace a cassette module, then locks back securely when you're done.

Compact Structure — Super-Density Cabling
The compact design is engineered to push fiber density and port count to their limits while making the most of every inch of rack space. Using a high-density design patch panel with maximum LC connectivity and an 8-cabling approach, these enclosures use high-strength, environmentally lightweight materials with superior surface treatment.
Each cassette module handles 24 fibers. Put 6 cassettes in a 2U chassis and you reach up to 144 LC interfaces or 72 SC interfaces. Scale to 4U and you can accommodate 12 cassettes — 288 LC interface or 144 SC interface. With a high-density LC configuration, 4U can be pushed to 576 core LC or 288 core SC interface.
Flexible Design — Efficient Cable Management
An independent cable management frame runs along the back of the enclosure, providing a dedicated path to route and organize cables while maintaining airflow around the panel. This keeps your cabinet clean and reduces strain on fiber connections.
The front-side independent cassette is designed for smart cable management. A multi-layer cassette structure allows for easy separated operation, keeping each circuit accessible without tangling adjacent runs. At the back, an independent cable management frame anchors the trunk cable and a redundant trunk cable ensures each cassette moves and reseats reliably.
