These panels are designed to be instantly familiar and easy to operate, yet they house a remarkably capable engine underneath. Our controls can be configured to fit virtually any sauna scenario — residential or commercial — with a wide range of recommended settings that can be refined further to match specialized needs. For traditional, infrared, and steam installations up to 240 volts, single or three phase, the control can drive heater loads of up to 60 amps. For larger commercial rooms, high-capacity contactors can be added externally to extend that reach. Temperature ranges and preset presets can also be tuned to your preference.

Temperature Sensor Probes
Every control ships ready to communicate with a precision sensor probe. Flush-face controller installations use an optional remote panel, while semi-flush installations with wall or panel mount give you additional remote control options. Wiring extensions up to 50ft / 15m are supported out of the box, with extended runs available on request.

Sauna Control Operation
SD-4PB is a digital temperature and time sauna controller designed for heating and/or cooling. It features an internal, accurate, programmable thermostat processor that is self-calibrating and does not require any maintenance or adjustments. The internal thermostat processor is wired digitally and runs directly from the included thermostat operation information for a preset period of time, depending upon the model, in seconds, minutes, hours or days.
While the timer is running, the thermostat controls the on-board relays. Standard models have two high-power relays, each rated up to 30 Amps 250Vac load max. Optionally an internal alarm buzzer or up to two additional relays can be ordered for special applications to control loads of up to 15Amps 250Vac max each.
The high power and the optional relays' contacts can be wired up to control heaters, HVAC systems and other loads like a fan, motor, pump, etc. The supply power and the load voltages are isolated from each other. The two voltages can be equal (single phase) or different (split) — from each other but must not exceed the controller maximum permitted rating.
In order to switch very high loads, the relay contacts can be wired up to control the coils of external contactors. Once extended, the controller and its wiring do not need to carry the high load current. The sauna control unit is enclosed in a sealed enclosure, and the included cable length can be extended by splicing the corresponding wires to a premium low-voltage cable.
A variety of the controller's operating configurations, temperature and timer ranges and limits are also programmable via the front side menu. In customized face plates the controller can have up to 9 push buttons. The SD-4PB controls the heating element or contactor based on the current temperature, the timer count, and other indicators of operation. The LED display can be ordered in RED, GREEN or BLUE color. Another option is an external Remote Control Panel — Model SD-4RC — that can be connected to the main panel via a 4- or 6-conductor cable up to 50ft / 15m away. Now, the SD-4PB sauna controllers are designed to eliminate almost completely the EMF (Electro-Magnetic Field) radiation.
